Academics at Dar Al Majd International School

At Dar Al Majd International School, we are committed to providing a well-rounded and high-quality education that aligns with international standards while nurturing strong Islamic values. Our academic programs are designed to foster intellectual growth, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.

Academic Expectations

We believe that academic success is built on a foundation of discipline, dedication, and perseverance. All students are expected to complete their assigned tasks, whether in school or as homework, on time and to the best of their ability. Our goal is to instill strong study habits and a commitment to excellence in every student.

Parents and teachers play a crucial role in setting high expectations for academic performance. Accepting incomplete work or work done with minimal effort leads to poor work habits, which can hinder a student’s overall growth. At Dar Al Majd International School, we encourage students to take ownership of their education and strive for their best performance in all subjects.

Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum is designed to balance academic excellence with Islamic teachings, ensuring that students develop both intellectually and morally. We offer a structured and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students. Our curriculum includes:

Homework & Assignments

Homework serves as an essential extension of classroom learning. It reinforces concepts taught during the school day and helps students develop independent study habits. Expectations regarding homework will be clearly communicated to students at the start of the academic year, and parents will be informed during our ‘Open House’ session held in early April.

We encourage parents to support their child’s academic journey by supervising homework completion and initialing their diary once all assignments are completed. This ensures accountability and strengthens the parent-school partnership.

Assessment & Evaluation

Student progress is continuously monitored through formative and summative assessments, quizzes, projects, and standardized exams. Our evaluation system is designed to:

  • Provide timely feedback on student performance
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Encourage a growth mindset and self-discipline

Students are assessed based on their understanding, application, and analytical skills rather than rote memorization. Regular parent-teacher meetings help keep families informed about their child’s progress.

Academic Support & Enrichment

We understand that each student has unique learning needs. To ensure every child reaches their full potential, we offer:

Remedial Classes:

Additional support for students who need help in specific subjects

Advanced Learning Opportunities:

Special programs and competitions for high-achieving students

Counseling & Mentorship:
